Peperomia caperata 'Lilian'
Peperomia caperata 'Lilian', originating from South/Central America is an unusual variety of Peperomia. It has thick, puckered, heart-shaped, dark green leaves held on long succulent stalks. Produces upright, tail-like spikes of tiny greenish-white flowers from spring to autumn.
A popular houseplant that is non-toxic, compact and easy to maintain. An ideal plant for smaller spaces or as part of a larger plant collection. Does well in an office environment as this plant is particularly suited to growing in fluorescent light. Often referred to as a radiator plant due to its love of warm air, radiator plants are very popular as they are very easy to look after.
Thrives in warm and humid conditions, mist daily in summer. Prefers bright, indirect light, avoid direct sunlight as this can damage the leaves. Keep the soil evenly damp and water when the top couple of inches of soil feels dry to the touch. Be careful not to over water or leave the plant sitting in water to prevent the risk of root rot.
