Cotoneaster horizontalis 2 Litres
Cotoneaster horizontalis is a short but wide deciduous shrub with small leaves set out in a herringbone pattern. The small white spring flowers loved by pollinators are followed in the autumn by red berries and orange-red leaves before they fall. It is a bullet proof plant often used in civic areas because it is touch and hardy with very little maintenance required. After flowering cut back any branches which spoil the shape of the plant and mulch.
Please note: This cotoneaster is listed on Schedule 9 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981). It can be planted and contained in private gardens, although it is banned from being planted in the wild in England and Wales.
- For Pollinator: Yes
- Latin Name: Cotoneaster horizontalis
