£10.00 OFF!
Olea europaea is the Common Olive. It is an attractive small evergreen mediterranean tree with small silvery grey-green leaves, small white flowers in summer followed by green olives that ripen to black. However in the UK fruit is unlikely to be produced as its just not warm enough. Olea are drought tolerant once establishe and also easy to grow in pots. Although hardy to -5'C they require a warm sheltered spot in full sun to thrive and protection from soggy conditions in winter. If in a pot it is worth bringing them into a cold greenhouse or conservatory over winter or wrapping the pot in bubble wrap and the crown and trunk with fleece.
